* Jolene Blood has verballed Concordia St. Paul. Jolene averaged 16ppg for Irondale last year and is one of the top guards in Minnesota.
* Arnnessa Hicks from Humboldt was named to the All Tournament Team (10 players) at the Miss Basketball Showcase in Mankato last weekend. gPrep ranks her #26 in her class, but after a strong showing last winter and now this summer, she will surely move up in the rankings.
Kelsey Jacobson Sets Conference Record on Gulf Coast

* Former Moorhead High School Superstar Kelsey Jacobson is off to a great start down in Florida. Jacobson was Atlantic Sun Conference freshman of the year. She set the conference record for three pointers (90) scored in a season. Her three point percentage ranked 4th in the NCAA Division 1. Jacobson was the FGCU three-point champion and was on the all-tournament team in December. She hit 2 HUGE three-pointers in the season, one with 3 seconds to go in a win against Jacksonville. The other against Mercer, Jacobson hit a three-pointer to send it into overtime and win. Florida Gulf Coast lost in the second round to USF in overtime. USF went on to win the WNIT. Her stats: 11.3 ppg, 2.7 three-pointers per game at 44.4%. Jacobson played the last two months of the season with a stress fracture in her foot but kept it to herself. She wore a boot until June 17. Jacobson is now back on the court working on her game.

DeLaSaLLe’s Carissa Wolyniec is putting in long gym hours. Wolyniec is working out with Professional Basketball Trainer Jimmy Rogers. The sharp shooter is elevating her game this summer with “scope-like” accuracy. She’s also been working out with the boys and is on a weight program. Wolyniec is now shooting the long range three with ease.
Hanna Sends “Greetings” from Germany!

Former Hopkins Point Guard Hanna Muegge is playing hoops this summer overseas in Germany. Hanna and her team won their first three games against Bulgaria, but fell hard to France, Poland and Turkey in the Four Nations Tournament in Bourg-en-Bresse, France. Next Hanna heads to Oberhausen, then the Netherlands and finally off to Belgium. Hanna attends college at Bradley University here in the United States.
Cichy Making Noise!
Tessa Cichy attended Duke elite camp last Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Duke University in North Carolina.

* The 16u MN Fury (Twin Cities) finished 2nd in a stacked field, finishing higher than North Tartan, North Tartan Blue and IBCA Select, along with wins against Metro Stars Black and Team WI – Samuels.

Nike End Of The Trail
For the second year in a row, MN Metro Stars Black will play in the famed "upper gym" at Oregon City High School in the Nike End of the Trail exhibition game. The game against Iowa Select is on July 6th at 2:30 PM. MN Metro Stars and North Tartan 14U is two of 28 teams in the country to have this honor!

Good Court Rep More Valuable Than Money

Apparently some players have been “putting-in-work”, fine tuning their game. North Tartan’s Sari Noga came to play last weekend at the State AAU Championships. Noga can flat out score. She has the ability to make plays from anywhere on the court, whether it’s running down loose balls or knocking down clutch shots. Another player making noise is North Tartan’s Rachel Banham. Banham’s all-around-game is at an all-time high. continued...
It is official, Krissy O’Toole has transferred from Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD. She will attend and play basketball at the University of St. Thomas beginning in the fall of 2009.
AAU State Tournament Video RESULTS
The Minnesota Stars took the 16U championship title. The Minnesota Stars also dominated the 15U, winning the title in that division. North Tartan walked away with the 14U championship. Ballers Sari Noga, Megan Waytashek, Cassie Rochel, Ameshia Kearney and Rachel Banham all made big statements with their play. MN Suns & MN Stars Qualify 1, 2

* The Minnesota Suns-Davison earned the #1 seed for the 13U National Qualifier. The Suns defeated St. Paul Central by 26, Minnesota Stars-Berkvam by 33 and Minnesota Stars-Starr by 3 in OT. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Stars-Ciochetto placed 1st in its pool for the 13U District Qualifier.The undefeated Stars did not play the undefeated Suns for the #1 seed because there was no bracket play scheduled. Hence the Minnesota Stars secured the 2nd seed. The Minnesota Stars’ scores are below.

North Tartan made a clean sweep Sunday, May 3rd at the AAU Girls Basketball District Qualifying Tournament at Lakeville South. The North Tartan program, led by Director Bill Larson, won the 16U, 15U & 14U championships.

Minnesota Suns' U13 Making Noise!
* The Minnesota Suns U13 team finished in the top 4 of 48 teams in the U13/U14 Division of the WIndy City Classic. They went 3-1 defeating the Missouri Phenom 39-30, the Illinois Hoopers 47-29, and the Cincinnati's Finest 55-38. Their only loss went to the tournament champions U14 Missouri Dream Team.

The high tech device is called Noah, and MSB is the only facility to offer the revolutionary device in the Twin Cities.
