Augustus Shows Why She’s Minnesota’s “Top Cat”!

The Minnesota Lynx dominated the Houston Comets at the Target Center in Minneapolis on July 12th. The Lynx hit 10 of 16 through three quarters. The final was 85-71, Lynx.

The victory improved Minnesota’s record to 10-10. Seimone Augustus shot 12 of 17 shots, more than 70 percent, for a game high 27 points! Augustus also made three three-pointers from downtown.

But, that’s not the whole story! We expect Minnesota’s franchise player to be great on the court. However, Augustus proved gracious off court as well, showing why she’s a fan favorite.

The 2008 Olympian stayed behind more than 30-minutes signing autographs and posing for photos with fans.Augustus took time out from her team's victory celebration to spend time with the fans.

Augustus' attitude was truly golden, smiling for photo after photo…patiently waiting through camera malfunctions as frantic fans framed the perfect shot. (.. to the left, no to the right… my eyes were closed. Let me take two pictures… just in case.) Augustus did NOT disappoint. Every fan, big or small, young or old, who stood in line to get a glimpse of the elite athlete and capture a bit of Lynx history, walked away happy.

Ditto for Semoine Augustus!
